On 7 and 8 September 2016 in L’Aquila the 21st JMC meeting (Joint Monitoring Committee) of the Adriatic IPA cross-border cooperation Programme is held, in which over twenty representatives from the 8 countries involved and the European Commission representatives take part.
The agenda elaborated by the Managing Authority, Ms Paola Di Salvatore, includes technical topics – such as the financial plan, the communication plan and the closing procedures of the Programme activities – and other matters of relevant socio-economic impact, such as the evaluation of the progress of the capitalization projects, representing the first technical action plan of EUSAIR (the relevant strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian region) and the possible actions at the benefit of refugees, both funded by the recovered savings.
The delegates from Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Montenegro and Slovenia are called to tackle key topics to ensure the efficient continuation of the work carried out over the last three years by the Managing Authority and by the Joint Technical Secretariat. In this regard, Vicente Rodriguez-Saez, rapporteur of the Adriatic IPA Programme on behalf of the DG Regio of the European Commission, is among the participants at the JMC meeting.
“The Monitoring Committe – outlines Ms Paola Di Salvatore, the Managing Authority of the Adriatic IPA CBC Programme – discusses and approves documents and procedures of great relevance, which enable the Programme to continue to perform in the observance of the objectives envisaged by the European Commission, so as to enhance and foster the outputs and the results of the 102 projects financed, thus disseminating them in all countries involved.”
