18/04/2011 – NEW MEETING OF CBC IPA ADRIATIC SURVEILLANCE BOARD
The two day meeting involving representatives of Regions and States to deal with major issues started yesterday in Venice. The order of the day included the examination and launch of the second tender for ordinary projects and the "Alter Energy" projects that sees Apulia as the leading partner. Preparation of the strategic projects was the main focus of a Task Force that was held yesterday morning. "IPA Adriatic" interests eight States: Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Serbia, Greece and, for Italy, in addition to Abruzzo, the leading region, there are also Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto, Emilia Romagna, Marche, Apulia and Molise. The programme has total assets worth approximately 280 million euros and aims to harmonise the Adriatic across-the-border area in the name of institutional, economic, cultural, touristic, environmental and infrastructural cooperation.
