25/10/2010 – TRANSPORT: CROATIA, NEW RAILWAY CARGO TERMINAL IN PLOCE

Croatian railway company HZ will make a start with the construction of a logistics centre in Ploce for a total of 10 million euros. It is one of the four cargo terminals that will also be built in Slavonski Brod, Zagreb and Rijeka. The terminal in Ploce is the result of an agreement between HZ and the company Novi Plobest, which has made its installation of 63,000 square metres in the centre of the port available, a solution that is considered to be the best for the location of the new structure. Global Wood Service will be one of the first clients. This company transports 1.35 million tonnes of biomass per year to Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The total value of the contract is 5 million euros.
