27/09/2010 – SERBIA: EU; 157 COMPANIES IN PROJECT OF SUPPORT TO SMES
BELGRADE – The European Union invested the total of 1.5 million EUR in the recently finalized two-year project of support to entrepreneurship and innovativeness development in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Serbia, the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development announced summing up the results of the project. The project, which involved 157 companies, was aimed at assisting SMEs in sale of products and services at the foreign market and at increasing employment and productivity in the companies. EU assisted the SMEs sector in Serbia with about EUR50 million in the period 2001-06 while the total of EUR9.5 million were allocated for the same purpose from IPA funds in the same period, reports VIP Daily News Report.(ANSAmed).
