22/04/2010 – ENERGY: BOSNIA; RS, 5.87 BLN FOR DEVELOPMENT SECTOR BY 2030
SARAJEVO – The new strategy presented by the local government of the Republika Srpska (RS, the Serbian majority political entity of Bosnia Herzegovina) to develop the energy sector by 2030 calls for total investments of about 5.87 billion euros.
The document calls for the development of the electricity sector and improvements to production, distribution, transport and consumption of electricity in the next twenty years. In Banja Luka during the presentation of the strategy, the Minister of the Economy, Energy and Mining of the Republika Srpska, Slobodan Puhalac, stressed the importance of opening the energy sector in the RS to foreign investments.
