10/04/2010 – COOPERATION: "IPA ADRIATIC CBC PROGRAMME": THE PROJECTS SUBMITTED TO THE EVALUATION OF THE JOINT MONITORING COMMITTEE
The first stage for projects admissibility, submitted by the eight Countries involved, was carried out by the Joint Monitoring Committee of the “IPA Adriatic CBC Programme” (2007-2013) in the meeting held in L’Aquila, seat of the Managing Authority, last March 25th and 26th.
The representatives of the Countries from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Serbia, Greece and for Italy, the Regions of Abruzzo, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto, Emilia Romagna, Marche, Puglia and Molise decided to reconvene the meeting for the next 20th and 21st of April in order to define the operational rules to be applied for the quality assessment of the projects assigned to the Joint Technical Secretariat.
For the first Calls for proposals the allocation amounts to 75 million Euros, while the IPA Programme has a total allocation of about 280 million Euros aiming to harmonize the Adriatic cross-border area for the benefit of the institutional, economic, cultural, tourist, environmental and infrastructural cooperation. “The work was useful – remarked Mrs. Giovanna Andreola, as Managing Authority of the IPA Adriatic Programme and Manager of the International Affairs Service of Abruzzo Region – even if there are still disagreements between some States on some evaluation rules to be used”.
The European Commission representative for the IPA Adriatic Programme, Mrs. Fausta Corda, stressed the importance of this Programme for the development of the territories involved.
