15/02/2010 – BALKANS: URSO, VERONA TO BE SEAT OF PERMANENT FORUM

VERONA – Today Deputy Economic Development Minister Adolfo Urso proposed for Verona to become the permanent location of the forum between Italy and the Western Balkan countries. Urso also said this at the start of the ‘Italy & South Eastern Europe Investment’ forum at Veronafiere, promoted by the ministry in collaboration with the customs agency, Finest, the Italian Trade Commission (ICE) and the Verona convention centre.’We have the intention of establishing an annual meeting to monitor the state of development of the partnerships,’ explained Urso, ‘in key economic sectors, from infrastructure to logistics, from energy to transport and trade show collaborations.’The idea of trade shows and conventions was supported by Veronafiere President Ettore Riello, who said that ‘we are supportive of Urso’s project to make increasing use of the trade show system as a bridge to penetrate new markets; we can act as an useful instrument to implement the government’s economic and commercial policies.’
